[ Story ]
Documentary produced by Nankai Broadcasting, the local TV station in Ehime Prefecture, and honored with numerous television awards, including the Grand Prix at the Age of Regionalism Video Festival. Depicts the truth about the damage sustained by Japan due to the hydrogen bomb tests conducted by the U.S. on the Marshall Islands' Bikini Atoll in 1954. Released as a film after the TV broadcast, with new footage included.
The radiation fallout experienced by the Daigo Fukuryu Maru from America's Bikini hydrogen bomb tests has been widely reported. However, there were in fact many other Japanese ships operating in the same waters.
