[ Story ]
Everyday life in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake cannot be adequately conveyed by using words such as "bonds of friendship" and "hope." This documentary stays focused on that which television does not usually show us: a true picture of the people who live in the disaster-affected areas, and these places where life and death continue to exist in close proximity. Its production staff from Osaka television station Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS) spent a year reporting on Miyagi Prefecture's Minamisanriku Town, which sustained massive damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake.
On March 11th 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake hit. A team from MBS immediately headed to Minamisanriku Town, where they provided long-term coverage and relayed its realities.
