A documentary following maverick director Sono Sion, who is also active in literature, painting, and street performance among other fields. It covers a year in Sono's life starting from September of 2014, closely surveiling as well the filming of The Whispering Star which was released in 2016. Incorporating interviews with Sometani Shota and Nikaido Fumi, the co-stars of one of his most acknowledged films, Himizu; his wife and actress Kagurazaka Megumi; and other relevant parties, a true picture of Sono is brought to light. The documentary is directed by Oshima Arata, who once featured Sono on the popular documentary program, "Jounetsu Tairiku", and is the second son of world-renowned maestro, Oshima Nagisa.
