[ Story ]
Documentary following two elderly people over a decade as they engage in surveying and preserving the living creatures in Nakatsu River, which flows through Kanagawa Prefecture. Won an award from MEXT at the 53rd Science and Technology Film/Video Festival, and is also a MEXT selected film.
The year 2000 saw the completion of the Miyagase Dam, the Tokyo capital region's largest reservoir, on Nakatsu River, which flows through Kanagawa Prefecture. Impact on Nakatsu River became apparent right away. Aikawa-machi resident Yoshie Keizo scrambles to save the Compositae Aster, an endangered flower. Former teacher Saito Tomoichi keeps a close eye on the Nakatsu River environment, as he renews his surveys of aquatic insects.
