Hafu Project, UNITED PEOPLE
[ Story ]
A documentary born from the "Hafu Project" that explores the experiences and identities of mixed-race people with Japanese and non-Japanese parents. Co-directed by two biracial women, it features interviews with five subjects over the course of more than a year.
Sydney-raised Sophia travels to Japan in search of her roots and attends a Japanese language school. David, who spent part of his childhood in an orphanage, works hard to raise funds to build a school in his mother's homeland Ghana. Alex is bullied at school and becomes ill.
