Easy-going documentary that depicts stray cats, alone in birth and death, as a community and environmental problem from the vantage point of a preservationist. Director Izumi Etsuko, whose previous films have dealt with women's independence and medical records, explores how people and cats can live together in happiness.
After her daughter got a kitten, the documentary's protagonist took in the numerous stray cats that came to her yard. She uses her video camera to document veterinarians, government, volunteers and overseas animal shelters that are fighting for cats.
