Nineteenth feature film in the "Dragon Ball" series. Screenwriting debut for original story author Toriyama Akira and directorial debut for Yamamuro Tadayoshi, who has served as animation director for many films in the series.
Evil emperor Freeza (voice: Nakao Ryusei) comes back to life, and he's stronger than ever. The resurrected Freeza schemes to exact revenge on Son Goku (voice: Nozawa Masako) and heads to earth with an army of a thousand. This unleashes a fierce battle pitting Goku and friends against the new Freeza army.
