[ Story ]
Documentary intimately depicting the fishing village Hadenya in Miyagi Prefecture's Minamisanriku Town from March 2008 through the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011. Agatsuma Kazuki makes his directorial debut with this film, which won the Japanese Film Pen Club Award at the Pia Film Festival Award Competition 2014.
Hadenya is a small fishing village of just 80 households along the coast of Minamisanriku Town. The residents lived in earnest amidst the grandeur and severity of nature. Agatsuma was documenting daily life in Hadenya as part of his research at university, and was heading for the village when the tsunami hit.
