Through interviews with various people who personally experienced the battlefront including former American soldiers and the last Zero Fighter pilot, Harada Kaname, this documentary delves into the dark side of war. In the director's chair is Kusuyama Tadayuki whose previous film Rikugun Noborito Kenkyujo exposed the truth behind the secret facility where new weapons were being developed toward the end of the Second World War.
From the time of the Sino-Japanese War to the Pacific War, Harada Kaname, now 99-years-old, had participated in the bombing of Nanking and the attack on Pearl Harbor. He and the voices of other battlefield veterans substantiate just how people become entangled in the monumental orchestration called war.
