[ Story ]
When a talk of marriage comes up for her younger brother, Kaoru (Mimura) looks back on her summer holidays 20 years ago. Kaoru's (Matsumoto Hana) summer holidays in her 4th year at school started when her mother suddenly left home. Instead, Yoko-san (Takeuchi Yuko) appeared. She is bold, easy-going, not bothered by details and jauntily drives a German-made Road Racer. Shy and introvert Kaoru is gradually attracted to Yoko whose character is completely opposite to hers. Kaoru experiences events with Yoko that is unthinkable by her mother, such as drinking Coke, which is prohibited because it will "melt the teeth" and going along with a brief run-away from home to Atami. Everyday is a whole new world; however, her sensational summer holidays come to an abrupt ending with the sudden return of her mother.
Based on a novel of the same title by an Akutagawa award winning writer, Nagashima Yu. This is his debut work, for which he received the 92nd Bungakukai Prize for New Writers. Starring Takeuchi Yuko of Be with You (Ima Aini Yukimasu) and Closed Note. Directed by Negishi Kichitaro of Distant Thunder (Enrai) and What the Snow Brings (Yuki ni Negau Koto).
