Fantasy based on a true story about a boy who comes of age and the sea turtle legend passed down at Kajima Harbor in Ibaraki Prefecture. Selected for the 3rd Ibaraki Short Film Award in conjunction with the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia.
Kajima Harbor is bustling in Japan's period of rapid economic growth. Goro's father Genji is a fisherman with an old-fashioned temperament who dies in a boat accident. Goro is confounded when told that his father died because he crushed the egg of a sea turtle, the protective deity for fishermen. On top of that, he finds out that his mother Sadako is not his birth mother.
