[ Story ]

This sci-fi fantasy tells of the love-hate relationship of a couple, and the battles of Unidentified Mysterious Animal (UMA) hunters using the enigmatic "Nue," a monster from ancient Japan, as a motif. Yamamura Ken, who appeared in Hollywood's version of Godzilla, is cast in his first ever leading role.
Chiaki's (Ishibashi Honoka) father was killed by her mother's (Kurosawa Asuka) lover, Sawatsukumori (Shibata Kotaro). UMA hunter Kyogoku (Yamamura), covered in Buddhist prayers all over his body, hunts monsters with a bow and arrow. When they meet on an evening of a total lunar eclipse, they will be drawn into a cruel fate.
