This is an epoch-making feature length documentary, of Japan at night...with a sharp focus on women, whose beauty, charm, energy, sadness and mysterious eroticism are vividly portrayed.
The colorful scenes photographed with a highly polished touch include: nude No plays, women wrestlers, women divers, nuns, striptease dancers, fashion models, lesbians, beer-drinking queens, dope addicts, Geisha of Gion, sportswomen, tattooed women...and other aspects of women - on the lighter and darker sides of Japanese life.
The production team included experts from every field and the photography was undertaken by nine groups of experienced cameramen who used hidden cameras to pack this unique documentary film with overwhelming and shocking reality.
