[ Story ]
During the early part of 1945, when the command of the sea had passed to the American Navy, Japan's defeat was almost certain. First Lieutenant Sugawa received a secret mission from Navy Headquarters, and took off in a transport plane, which was attacked by an American squadron. When he gained consciousness, he found himself sleeping in the boiler room of a freighter which was bound for Shanghai. A girl was attempting suicide and a sailor was trying to prevent her. The so-called "Queen" was the beautiful mistress of the captain. She admired Sugawa's courage and invited him to the captain's room and he discovered that there were twelve girls on board to be sold in China and that those from Japan were of humble origin, with the exception of Rumiko who was cheated by her uncle and sold to the slave ship. There was mist over the sea when a high-speed pirate ship attacked the slave vessel. The passengers of the slave ship were compelled to resist the pirates, but in vain. Finally the pirates boarded, killed the captain, captured Sugawa and all the girls, and set the ship on fire…
