[ Story ]
Eight years before, Tahei set out to avenge the death of one of the henchmen of his boss. Successful, he is apprehended, and sent to prison.
On release he finds everything changed. Gennosuke, his old boss, now heads a profitable construction company. But the son of the man he killed, Hori, also heads a construction company and is Gennosuke's greatest rival.
Gennosuke's second son, Genji was drowned at sea and now a girl named Mari to pose as Genji's widow, demanding a large sum of money. This plot fell through, however, when Gennosuke treats her kindly and she, being nicely treated for the first time in her life, has a change of heart.
Now Hori sets fire to a building that Gennosuke is engaged upon. But this is too much for Tahei who sets out to get the son as he fixed the father. This time, however, it is he who dies -- but he breathes his last surrounded by the people he loved.
