[ Story ]

A documentary combining footage of the collaborative process between choreographer Damien Jalet and sculptor Nawa Kohei and the resulting performance art piece.
Jalet takes the representation of myth, indigenous beliefs, and rituals from each part of the world and incorporates them into dance. Nawa takes full advantage of various materials and techniques to realize an image into shape and form. Placing as its fundamental concept connotations of the word "vessel" (a receptacle, a ship) as encompassing everything involving the cycles of life & death and earth & existence, the two artists strive for a work which fuses stage design and the dancers' physicality.
