Takamiya Toshikazu (Harada Taizo) works as a long-distance overnight bus driver from his hometown in Niigata. One night his ex-wife Miyuki (Yamamoto Mirai), who he divorced sixteen years ago, slips onboard his Tokyo-Niigata bus just as he's about to depart. He was thinking about marrying his girlfriend Shiho (Konishi Manami) in Tokyo, but the unexpected encounter gets him thinking about his life.
