Through his encounter with Daichi, Makoto Okita—who had been previously full of deeply ingrained prejudices that were out of touch with modern society—gradually updates himself to align with modern values. His wife Mika, who has become a full-time employee to support her favorite idol, his daughter Moe, who has been struggling with ideas for her new work to be included in self-published magazines, and his son Kakeru, who enjoys unleashing his love for makeup, all seem to have a harmonious family relationship.
Just when everything seems perfect, the past resurfaces. Sato, Okita's former subordinate, reappears as a client, bringing with him old wounds and deep- rooted distrust. Meanwhile, Daichi struggles with loneliness and anxiety after his partner Madoka leaves. To cope with his emotions, he takes a part-time job at a pet shop, only to discover that it is owned by none other than Sato...
