A documentary closely chronicling the process of running for the Shinjuku Ward Legislative Assembly by Lee Komaki, a man who worked over 20 years as a customer solicitor for restaurants and brothels in Shinjuku's red light district of Kabukicho.
Lee is attempting to become Japan's first "Chinese-born politician". In the past, Lee had once held mixed feelings for his parents who received unfair treatment during the Cultural Revolution and the rift dividing China-Japan relations even after arriving in Japan. With faith in democracy, Lee becomes eligible to run for office and his activities will lay bare "democracy" and furthermore "Japan".
