[ Story ]

Kore-eda Hirokazu, winner of the Cannes Film Festival's Palme d'Or for Shoplifters, directs his first international co-production film. Based on the autobiography by one of France's legendary actresses, the drama unfolds around a truth concealed between a mother and daughter.
Fabienne (Catherine Deneauve), an actress, publishes an autobiography titled 'The Truth'. Her screenwriter daughter who lives in America, Lumir (Juliette Binoche), and son-in-law, Hank (Ethan Hawke) who is a popular television actor, come together in Fabienne's home to congratulate her. But the reunion is far from celebratory.
