Forty-first feature film for the "Doraemon" TV series based on Fujiko F Fujio's manga. This remake of the 1985 film marks the directorial debut for Yamaguchi Susumu, who supervised key frame drawings for the film series.
During summer vacation, Nobita (Ohara Megumi) encounters a tiny alien named Papi (Park Romi), who is president of the planet Pirika and is escaping from a rebel army. Papi gets to know Doraemon (Mizuta Wasabi) and friends, but then a whale-shaped spaceship comes to Earth in pursuit of Papi.
