Ensemble drama set in a real-life antique shop in Asakusa Rokku, once a vibrant theater district in Tokyo. Second film from Harimoto Kaori, who made her directorial debut with The Captain's Sweet Wife and worked as assistant director for Zeze Takahisa and Manda Kunitoshi.
Tokyo Hotarudo is an antique shop in Asakusa's Rokku distict. Part-timer Makoto (Kodama Taiichi) tends the shop for owner Kazuro (Murakami Jun), who is rarely around. As summer draws to a close, a woman named Mayuko (Chikuni Megumi) visits the shop. She seems to have something on her mind, and comes by day after day.
