[ Story ]
This drama builds on director Tsukamoto Shinya's Fires on the Plain and Killing with a story set in the chaos of a post-war black market. Won NETPAC award at the 2023 Venice International Film Festival.
A woman (Shuri) living alone in a burned-out pub succumbs to wartime despair and sells her body. One day, she finds a kid sneaking into her pub. He lost his family in the air raids and survives by stealing food at the black market.
