A live-action adaptation of Yamamoto Sōichirō's popular comic book about the adolescent teasing of a classmate. Director Imaizumi Rikiya, known for films such as Just Only Love and Over the Town, depicts the two main characters as adults 10 years after the original story.
Set in an island junior high school. Nishikata (Takahashi Fumiya), who was teased by Takagi (Nagano Mei) about something or other, spends an unparalleled everyday life, until one day, they are separated. Ten years later, the two are reunited on the island, and the time that had stood still begins to move again.
Based on the original graphic novel "KARAKAI JOZU NO TAKAGI-SAN" created by Soichiro Yamamoto, published by Shogakukan Inc.
