The Actor director Yokohama Satoko adapts Miyoshi Gin's popular manga for the silver screen. Stars 15-year-old Harada Konosuke, a newcomer selected through auditions.
The story unfolds in a seaside town that offers relocation incentives for artists. Fourteen-year-old Sosuke (Harada) and his happy-go-lucky art club buddies are busy this summer vacation drawing pictures for the theater club and covering stories for the school newspaper. Meanwhile, questionable artist-types wander about town. Then, Sosuke and his friends get a mysterious commission.
