[ Story ]
Hama no don director Matsubara Fumie helms this documentary about the facts of war and sexual violence.
Pioneer groups moved to Manchuria under Japan's national policy of colonizing the area. Conditions deteriorated as Japan's defeat became increasingly certain, and people from the Kurokawa Pioneer Group sought help from enemy Soviet troops to survive and return to Japan. However, the price was sexual services from women over the age of 18. The group returned home one year after Japan's defeat, but the women were faced with discrimination and prejudice.
