Popular comedian Akashiya Sanma produces his first animated feature film with this adaptation of Nishi Kanako's same-named novel. Official selection for the 45th Annecy International Animation Film Festival
Nikuko (Otake Shinobu) and her fifth-grader daughter Kikuko (Cocomi) are vagabonds who keep getting duped by losers, and they end up in a fishing port in the north. They get to know Sassan (Nakamura Ikuji) who runs a BBQ joint and embark on new lives aboard a fishing boat.
