[ Story ]
Omori Mika (Nekonade) writes and directs this adaptation of an original story written for the screen by popular manga author Sakurazawa Erika. Set in Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, Pool's lush visuals capture the scenery, culture and array of cuisine found in the city. The film also features lead actress Kobayashi Satomi singing. She composed the music and wrote the lyrics to the song ‘That Song You Like' herself.
Four years after Kyoko (Kobayashi) abandoned her family and left for Chiang Mai, Thailand, her daughter Sayo (Kana) finally comes to visit her at the guest house where she now works. There, Sayo comes into contact with kindhearted employee Ichio (Kase Ryo), lonely young Thai boy Bie (Sittichai Kongpila) and the guest house's owner Kikuko (Motai Masako), whose days left on earth are numbered. Sayo struggles to come to terms with the sight of her mother enjoying her existence among these complete strangers. As each character deals with personal hardships they also show sympathy for those around them. Sayo's heart gradually opens, until she's able to express her true feelings toward her mother for the first time.
