[ Story ]

Nakata Hideto, an up-and-coming art animator who has garnered attention at home and abroad, and his film production team Sovat Theater spent 8 years making this stop-motion animation. A poignant fantasy about a utility pole that falls in love with a human, told with heart-warming images.
On a night with a full moon, the utility pole Elemi (voiced by Okumura Tomoko) malfunctions, and Elemi falls for the power company worker Takahashi (voiced by Watanabe Kazushi) who comes to make repairs. Desperately wanting to talk to Takahashi, Elemi penetrates a phone line and calls him, pretending to be a human. Unaware of this, Takahashi is simply perplexed by this unknown caller, but as they converse in regular phone calls, the two gradually become friends. However, rumors of this relationship spread among the utility poles in the city, and Elemi is called before a utility pole council. After brooding over the matter, Elemi must confess to Takahashi that she is a utility pole.
