The latest film from Oku Shutaro, known for his work as a theater director and designing stage visuals for Takarazuka revue operas and troupe Noda-Map, as well as an independent film director of Akasen , Cain's Descendant and Death of Donomata. Imbued with a romantic touch, the film depicts the unseen fears felt by the anxious young generation of today's Japan in this distinctive drama. The lead role is played by Watanabe Kazushi, a director in his own right, joined by a cast of esteemed names including Momoi Kaori. The small town in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture. Due to a nuclear power plant accident several years prior, the area is slowly being exposed to radiation. 26-year-old would-be medical student Yuichiro (Watanabe) remains unemployed and living at home with his family. His mother (Momoi) and other relatives expect him to take over his late father's private practice. However, contrary to the expectations placed on him, Yuichiro falls deep into a world of gambling and drug dealing as his days grow darker. He soon learns of a secret, high-paying clinical study being run at the hospital's radiology department.
