[ Story ]

A sensual film adaptation of Tanizaki Junichiro's classic 'Shisei' (*The Tattooer), by the director of Veronica Decides to Die (Veronica wa shinukotonishita), Horie Kei. While on assignment, magazine editor Sakura Mayumi (Inoue Mikoto) meets tattoo artist Yano Junko (Ito Yuko). Days later Mayumi is reunited and falls in love with yakuza mobster Hirata (Namioka Kazuki), after he saves her life in a dangerous situation. The tattoo on his back happens to be inked by Junko. Hirata is killed in a gang war, and Mayumi seeks out Junko once more to tattoo the spirit of Hirata on herself. Mayumi calls out Hirata's name, writhing in pain and pleasure while being tattooed.
