Director Horie Kei of {Veronika Decides to Die} brings a play by the theater company he presides over to the screen. Suspense mystery that takes place in a nearly closed off hospital waiting room, using a {Rashomon} approach to present a single incident from multiple perspectives. Seven men are suspects in the attempted murder of cabaret girl Hata Yasuko (Okamoto Azusa). But, contradictions emerge in the Yasuko they describe. The investigation by a veteran detective (Ikeda Narushi) eventually brings the shocking truth to light.
