The underground comic magazine "GARO" led Japanese subculture for years. This cinematic drama is based on the first-person narrative novel-like comic series by Abe Shinichi that was published in "GARO" in the 1970s. Asagaya, Tokyo, in the 1970s. Abe Shinichi (Mizuhashi Kenji) uses the story of his own life together with his lover, Miyoko (Machida Marie), as material for the comic he is writing. Driven by his increasing ambition for his work, Shinichi coerces his friend, Kawamoto (Honda Shoichi), who has feelings for Miyoko, into sleeping with her right before his eyes.
