A monster film by the self-proclaimed special effects maniac and rakugo storyteller, Hayashiya Shinpei takes up the megaphone and brings us REIGO, The Monster from the Deep Sea (Shinkaiju Reigo). Set 60 years after the epic battle between Reigo and the battleship Yamato in his previous work, humanity is plunged into battle once again against another such monster. Global warming has not been stopped, and is wreaking change throughout the ecosystem. An unknown giant monster appears in Tokyo Bay and lands in Asakusa.
