[ Story ]
Based on a manga created by very popular artist Nananan Kiriko. Ichikawa Mikako received the best actress award at the Moscow International Film Festival for her performance.
At a high school set along the ocean, Kirishima Kayako (Ichikawa Mikako) has become a third-year student. She's concerned about her classmate Endo Masami (Konishi Manami), who for some reason, has failed and stayed behind in the second-year. Everyone in the class ignores Masami even though they all have an interest in her. One day, Kayako asks Masami to join her for lunch with the others and they quickly become close friends. When Kayako visits Masami's house, she sees an art book and becomes interested in oil painting. During their summer vacation, Kayako cannot reach Masami for a few days after which Masami tells her she was on a trip by herself. Kayako finds out this is a lie and that Masami went to meet her ex-boyfriend. After talking through the night, they work out their misunderstandings, and end up going their separate ways.
