[ Story ]
Mizuki Shigeru's best-selling comic 'Gegege no Kitaro' has been the basis for several TV anime series and live action feature films. This film was originally produced in 1999 and was the first in the Kitaro series to be shot in full dimensional CG. Santaro has gotten 0 points failed his test miserably, and wants to head back in time to retake it. Nezumi Otoko (rat man) comes across Santaro and get him all fired up to write his wish in a letter to Kitaro. Santaro's letter reaches Kitaro, and they head off on a ghost train traveling through the past.
