Fukui Harutoshi, a popular novelist and author of "Aimless AEGIS," works on the animation story of Part 2 of "Mobile Suit Gundam UC (novel edition)." The story unfolds three years after Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack, describing how the Earth Federation takes on ex-members of Neo-Zeon over the mysterious Laplace's box. In the spatial year of 0096, 16-year-old Banagher Links (voice: Uchiyama Koki) is entrusted with a prototype mobile suit, Unicorn Gundam, by the Earth Federation and shows superior skills in battle against the enemy. However, he ends up being captured together with Unicorn Gundam.
