[ Story ]
In the north of Kawasaki, rapid urbanization has transformed the living environment. In this human-interest documentary, we look at the lives of the local farmers who even today continue to defend the traditions and culture of the region. The director, Yui Suguru, was widely praised for The Wolf Talisman where town and mountain meet (Ookami no gofu satobito to yamabito no awai ni), which told the story of a talisman that unraveled the connection between people, animals, and nature. In this documentary, he shows us the everyday lives of people living today who continue to protect the legends and traditions handed down to them by their ancestors. He also reveals the surprisingly unique customs that are still being practiced today in commuter towns not that far from the center of Tokyo.
