[ Story ]
An animated adaptation of the classic manga by TEZUKA Osamu that could be described as his life's work, taking ten years to complete in the longest-running serialization of his career. Set at a time when the founder of Buddhism was only a young boy who went by the name of Siddhartha, it follows his growth as he questions class discrimination, falls in love with a bandit girl, and battles with a young man of slave stock named Chapra. A star-studded voice cast has been assembled, featuring HIDETAKA Yoshioka as Siddhartha and SAKAI Masato as Chapra, who further enhance this epic story.
