[ Story ]
An ensemble coming-of-age film inspired by the music of Shinsei Kamattechan, a four-piece avant-garde rock band. Exciting young director Irie Yu, who came to prominence with his 8000 Miles series, presents a fast-paced depiction of men and women searching for their identities. Its star is Nikaido Fumi, who won the Venice Film Festival's Marcello Mastroianni Prize for her performance in Himizu. She plays Michiko, a high school student with a dream of becoming a professional Shogi player, who is faced with a dilemma when her boyfriend invites her to a rock concert on the day she is to compete in the final of an amateur Shogi championship.
