[ Story ]
The second feature film offshoot of an animated NHK Educational TV show for children, adapting the 37th and 42nd issues of Sobei Amako's manga. Young boys training to be ninjas scamper across battlefields in search of a missing classmate. When ninja school resumes after the summer holidays, Kisanta is absent from the 1st grade class. To complete a 6th grade homework assignment he was given by mistake, Kisanta set off for a castle in the middle of a war, and has not been heard from since. Rantaro (voice: Takayama Minami) and his classmates rush off to save their friend.
