This film adapts a fan-favorite episode from the novel version of the "Nintama Rantaro" TV series, which has been beloved by audiences of all ages since going on air in 1993. Author Sakaguchi Kazuhisa penned the script.
At Ninjutsu Academy, Doi teaches young ninjas called "Nintama." One day, he disappears, leaving the Nintamas worried for his safety. Meanwhile, the Academy hears that rivals at Dokutake Castle are scheming something. Senior ninjas infiltrate the castle to investigate, but are stopped by Tenki, whose face is identical to Doi.
