A documentary tracing the checkered history of Yokkaichi Asthma, known as one of Japan's four major diseases arising from pollution, as seen through the eyes of the ordinary citizens who documented it. It is the second feature documentary from Tokai Television, which continues to produce tour de force documentaries for TV. As with their previous work Heisei jirenma, it has been re-edited from the broadcast version to include footage never seen before, and was released theatrically. Sawai Yoshiro set out to investigate the facts behind the pollution in Yokkaichi City back when it was first detected. Now 82, he has compiled 60 publications on the subject, and has been involved with the issue for over forty years. Even today, his work is not over yet.
