Feature film adaptation of Tsurutani Kaori's same-named comic with a script by Okada Yoshikazu, renowned for his many successful TV dramas. Warmly depicts the friendship between two women fifty-eight years apart who meet through boys' love manga.
Sayama Urara (Ashida Mana) is a socially awkward 17-year-old high school girl, and Ichinoi Yuki (Miyamoto Nobuko) is a 75-year-old widow. One day Yuki goes to buy a boys' love manga at the bookshop where Urara works. Their friendship blossoms through their shared interest in boys' love manga.
