[ Story ]
A feature film adaptation of a television series that aired in autumn of 2011, based on an animated television series first broadcast in 1968 about the trials and tribulations of three benevolent humanoid monsters who dream of becoming human. Its straightforward story deals with the humanoid monsters' contemplations of what it is to be human, and is complemented with special effects makeup and CG-enhanced action scenes.
Humanoid monsters Bem (Kamenashi Kazuya), Bela (Anne), and Belo (Suzuki Fuku) arrive in a new town and come across a series of strange happenings. As they delve into the mystery, Belo falls in love with a young girl named Michiru (Hatakeyama Rina) he meets by chance, but her family meets a sad fate...
