The third chapter in the "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C." series, that has gained a passionate following in Japan and overseas for its unique visual aesthetic and philosophical world view, has been fully converted to 3D. Its writer and director is Kamiyama Kenji ("Eden of the East"). In the year 2034, Public Security Section 9 agent Batou (voice; Otsuka Akio) begins to harbor a suspicion that the "Puppeteer" orchestrating terrorist attacks by refugees from the Seok Republic is actually Section 9's former leader, Major Motoko Kusanagi (voice: Tanaka Atsuko).
