[ Story ]
Film adaptation of the play Kurage-so by the theatrical group of the same name, which drew huge crowds to The Pocket in Tokyo's Nakano ward. Co-directed by Maeda Mankichi, who founded the troupe, and Yuki Shoji, who also appears in the film. Nakagawa Torataro (Yuki) is trying to stop a man's suicide attempt when he falls with the man from a rooftop. He wakes up at the Sanzu station in the afterlife, and is ordered to go to heaven. But, he can't remember his previous life, and is stuck at the way station until he gets his memory back.
