A heartwarming tale based on Unita Yumi's popular manga. An ordinary office worker, twenty-seven and single, ends up raising a six-year-old girl. She is played by acting prodigy Ashida Mana, a first grade elementary schooler who was ubiquitous in the mass media during 2011. Daikichi (Matsuyama Kenichi) returns to his hometown for his grandfather's funeral and is shocked to learn that he sired an illegitimate daughter, Rin (Ashida). However, Daikichi takes pity on her after none of his family offer to take her in, and declares in front of them that he will raise her himself.
