[ Story ]
A humanistic drama that captures the realities of life in Japan's regional cities, which are being hollowed out by a prolonged economic slump. Director Tomita Katsuya, a native of Kofu City in Yamanashi Prefecture, depicts the problems facing local temporary laborers as well as ethnic Japanese Brazilians and other immigrants. Winner of the Golden Montgolfiere at the Festival of the 3 Continents in Nantes, France. Rap group member Takeru (Dengaryu) gets a temp job as a construction worker on a building site in Kofu. There are also many foreign laborers employed there, and when he visits a pub also staffed by immigrants one day on his way home from work, his growing discomfort amplifies his hostility toward them.
