Director Kawasaki Minoru, known for his absurdist special effects parodies, produced this action comedy as an evolved version of his breakthrough film Iko the Earth Patrol Girl. The film depicts the activities of a combat team comprised of nine young girls, and utilizes numerous idols waiting for their big break. At the close of the twentieth century the earth defense patrol has driven away many monsters and aliens, but the lack of crises has led downsizing. In Japan, P9 (Paranormal Nine) comprised only of young girls has continued to exist, but lame enemies are all that appear.
